About Me:
John works for University of Aberdeen as a Web Programmer. John graduated in Drawing & Painting from Gray's School of Art, Aberdeen, and spent 12 years as a lecturer in Art & Design at Aberdeen College, where he assisted in the inception of the Graphical Computing facilites. Following a brief spell as a freelance web designer, he began work with Northern College of Education as their Virtual Campus programmer, and from there moved to Aberdeen University when the institutions amalgamated. Besides Art and Programming, John's other main interest has been Music - writing and performing. His main instrument is a Guitar + Synthesizer combination, and working in computer music has made him reasonably adept with keyboards, sampling and MIDI issues.
Taken together, he likes to think he's a Multimedia producer.

- Producing presentations of results.
Tasks I'm Working On:
- Acquiring facility with Blender, and Video compression.
- Model Library - Acquisition of a starter-pack of 3D Geometric Anatomical Models
- Producing a Present3D demo for prospective candidates for medical school. ( 4th Year age group )
- Acquiring a compatible 3D Microscopy source.
- Looking for a first practical application of 3D Projection system in a Lesson Plan.
- Discussing Open Office: Impress as a potential Authoring interface for Present3D.
